AAMG, page iv - "Question
marks and italics have been used to indicate unproven data." AAMG, page xxv - "One question mark means 'probably'; in ninety percent of the cases, when the problem could eventually be worked out, the surmise proved to be correct. Two question marks denote "'possibly', but evidence is stronger than a mere guess." |
It was found, when the DNA test results arrived, that descendants of KF3, KF4, and KF5 match.
* Two are descendants of KF3-Isaac
* One is a descendant of KF4-Stephen
* Two are descendants of KF5-Christian
Because these five are a DNA match it seems safe to remove the question marks from KF4 - Stephen, and KF5 - Christian. This "new" information makes many published lists correct, since many lists have been published that ignored the AAMG question marks and just copied the lists as if they were 100% sure and factual - sloppy genealogy!
According to AAMG KF6-? Jacob had no sons. If this is true there are no male descendants of KF6 to be tested, so the question mark by KF6-Jacob's name remains.
KF1-John is documented in KCL and on a ship's list. "Who were KF1-John's children?" is now the question. (KF11 is not a DNA match to KF-Isaac.)
