The MFH Article - The Genetic Genealogy of Some Mennonite and Amish Kauffman-Coffman Families. The MFH article is Ellen Coffman's October, 2006 article from "Mennonite Family History". It is reproduced here in PDF format and presented with permission from the author (Ellen Coffman) and from the publisher (Masthof Press). It is a large file and will take some time to download on slower hookups.

Immigrants List - Kauffmans to America 1704-1776 - This list was created from several sources and may, or may not, be all-inclusive. It is presented here as a starting point for those interested in the Kauffman lines in America. Most on this list were known or suspected to be Mennonite or Amish, part of the Anabaptist group of people that were exiled from Switzerland in the years from about 1640 - 1710. The Swiss Volhynian Kaufmans - Descendants of the Mennonite preacher, Isaac Kaufmann (1653 - 1715) through eldest son Michael, "went to France for 100 years from Switzerland, then through Poland to the Ukraine and then to Central Kansas in 1875". Information is compiled from "The European History (1525 - 1874) of the Swiss Mennonites from Volhynia" originally a doctoral thesis by Martin H. Schrag and edited & copyrighted 1974, by Harley J.
